June 20th is is the day before Summer Solstice and World Peace & Prayer Day, a North American Indian day of prayer and pilgrimage that has become a global movement. During these chaotic times it is all the more important that we learn how to maintain energy balance and a clear, quiet mind. You will learn core Qigong practices for health and inner peace, including Inner Nourishing Qigong Meditation that uses breath, words, and intent to renew areas of the body/mind that have forgotten how to heal. Then build a full supply of resilient qi in the body’s three vital centers (the dan tians) by practicing BP Chan’s Standing and Walking Meditation and Taoist Crane, Turtle, and Deer Breathing. In this highly experiential class, Ken will also explain the ancient Taoist philosophy of energy dispersal and replenishment based on the three dan tian energy centers, and the alchemy of “reversing old age, returning to youth” (fan lao huan tong). Leave the class with a simple, highly effective practice for vitality and well-being. Although the class will not be recorded, registered students will receive a pdf with descriptions and information about the practices.
