Today is Qingming Jie, Pure Bright Festival, one of the most ancient festivals in China, in which the ancestors are honored, graves swept, and springtime beauty is celebrated. There is a deep connection between this festival and the principles of Feng Shui because Feng Shui was originally the science of siting auspicious graves, so that the root of one’s family tree is nourished and future generations reap the benefits. Today Feng Shui is applied not only to the houses of the dead, but to the houses of the living. Ken will focus on the latter, exploring in detail and easy to understand terms the influence of home design, landscape, and direction on health, luck, and prosperity and how to protect against adverse influences. Our course will have two parts: a comprehensive and entertaining talk about the history and principles of Taoist Feng Shui, the legacy of Ken’s teacher, Taoist Abbot Huang Gengshi. And then learn a rare Taoist meditation to journey to the stars, meet your stars of destiny, and petition them for good luck and a better future.
