Service Description

90 Minute Zoom Workshop. Most people associate Tai Chi with the slow, fluid movements that improve posture, coordination, balance and health. It has been called meditation in motion and medication in motion. The oldest style of Tai Chi, called Chen Family Tai Chi, also has these benefits, but includes superb fitness training and supple coiling movements to encourage energy flow through the joints. The more familiar Tai Chi is like a slow-moving stream. Chen Style is like the ocean, with changing rhythms of strong crashing waves and slow retreating tides. Movements are slow and quick, high and low, but always fluid and connected. It is a stunningly beautiful choreography. In this class, you will learn the joy and principles of Chen Style by training the opening movements. Class will not be recorded.
